Drama
DESCRIPTION:
- Drama is defined as an individual or group presentation on a religious topic or scripture, including skits, mime, puppets, etc.
AGE GROUP:
- Participants must be in the 7th-12th grade by the time of Celebrate Life in May. Each District President is responsible for who may/may not participate from their district.
RULES:
- Time allotment for Drama entries is between 3 and 10 minutes.
- Ratings will be based on communication skills, content, facial expression, poise, gestures and appearance or costume.
- Drama participants must present a script to the judge before presenting their entry.
- In Communications, a person may enter only once in each category, as in Speech, Drama, and Creative Writing.
RATING:
- Participants will be rated by a Superior, Excellent, Good or Fair rating system, with Superior being the best possible. This is combined with the other areas of Arts.
- Each district will garner grand trophy points with the 1st place district receiving the most and the 11th place district receiving the least.
2024 INFORMATION:
- If you are scheduled to perform at a time that conflicts with another event, stop by the Larsen Lounge to adjust your performance time.
- Score sheets will be available for pickup in the Larsen lounge two hours after your performance ends, up until 5pm on Friday, or between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in Perry Room 222.
